Canada: G7 tells tech firms to boost efforts to combat extremism

On Tuesday, a top Canadian official said, the group of Seven leading industrialized nations told leading tech and social media companies to ramp up efforts to combat the spread of extremism. G7 security ministers raised their concerns during a Toronto meeting with Facebook, Twitter Inc, Alphabet Inc’s Google and Microsoft Corp, said Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale.
