Reports Show Taliban Militants Seized the Military Base in Central Afghanistan

Fighters of Taliban radical movement have conquered a police forces base and a joint Afghan National Army (ANA) base in Afghanistan’s central Uruzgan province.
A largest Afghanistan news agency who quoted a local official states that around 25 servicemen and police officers were present at the base, which is situated in the city of Trinket. However, there was no news on the number of people injured or killed in the attack.
Apart from seizing the military base, the Taliban rebels also confiscated weapons and military vehicles from the base. Uruzgan provincial council affirmed the incident; although it didn’t divulge any details about the case.
Later on, it was reported that the two militants belonging to the Taliban movement were killed during the event. Also, during a separate encounter in the northern Balkh province, with the Afghan security forces, three other Taliban militants were injured. Simultaneously, Daesh fighters were killed during a foreign airstrike in Nangarhar province.
For a long time, Afghanistan has been suffering from erratic political, security, and social issues, because of the actions of the Daesh terrorist groups and the Taliban. Currently, the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces are handling joint offensive operations to fight terrorism across the nation.
