Syrian Refugee Couple gets large sum of Donation in Canada

A Syrian Refugee Couple who had lost all of their seven children in a house fire in the eastern Canadian city of Halifax, has raided C$339,042 ($257,357) from nearly 6,000 people within 24 hours. The father of the seven children is battling for life in a hospital fighting with life threatening injuries and the mother is stricken with grief. As said by one of the groups that helped the refugees resettle, a vigil would be held for the family by the community. The funds were raised using an online crowdfunding platform called as GoFundme with the initiative of the family friends of the victim, the the Hants East Assisting Refugees Team and the Imam Council of Halifax.
