UN says that up to 30,000 fighters of ISIS have remained in Syria

A research released by the UN has pointed out that between 20,000 – 30,000 militants, around five times as many as thought earlier, remain in mostly desert region on the border between the two countries. The top commanders and strategists have been killed, the number includes fully trained members of the group.
