Dubai: Sultan Haitham bin Tareq of Oman issues a decree on issuing a new statute of the country that sets a new mechanism for the transfer of power in the Sultanate.
The decree also calls for setting a mechanism to appoint the crown prince and determine his powers as well as to affirm the principle of law supremacy and the independence of law as the foundation of the Sultanate rule.
