2:30COVID-19: Boris Johnson says no new measures to slow Omicron spread in U.K.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said on Monday the right measures were in place to tackle the surge in COVID-19 cases caused by the Omicron variant, given the high levels of vaccination in the country. However, he said pressure on hospitals would be “considerable” in the next couple of weeks but that the country was in a stronger position than it was earlier in the pandemic.
