COVID-19 cases continue to mount across Canada as the Omicron variant of the coronavirus becomes further entrenched in the country.
The new highly-transmissible COVID-19 variant and government advisory have compelled many Canadians to change their travel plans.
Health Minister Christine Elliott said there were 9,826 new infections, which is the second-highest single-day increase in Ontario since the pandemic began.
The 10,412 diagnoses surpass the previous record of 9,571, which was set Friday.
